Nitara's introduction was much later than most of the kombatants on this list, as she first appeared in 2002's Mortal Kombat: Deadly Alliance. A vampire forced to feed on the blood of the living, Nitara is fine with the daylight of all realms except for Earthrealm, which can kill her.

Nitara's home realm of Vaeternus was tied to Outworld long before she was born, and she spent her life looking for a way to free her people. Eventually learning that a mystic orb was all that tied her realm to Shao Kahn's, she found it in a place she couldn't access it.

Eventually allying with Reptile and the Lin Kuei cyber-assassin Cyrax, Nitara entered the incubation chamber of the last known dragon egg, where Cyrax descended into the lava pits and returned with the orb.

Their deal complete, Nitara smashed the orb and was knocked unconscious, waking to find herself in her home realm for the first time.

Nitara will be played by Elissa Cadwell, a stunt performer who has worked on action films like Aquaman and... Dora And The Lost City Of Gold.
