5. Travolta Fesses Up

John Travolta hasn't had the best track record at the Oscars. In 2013 he pronounced Les Miserables in faux-phonetic manner, and last year provided the internet with a never-ending run of jokes when he called Frozen voice actor/singer Idina Menzel "the wickedly taletned Adele Dazeem." So when it was announced he'd be back again as a presenter, everyone immediately began speculating who he'd be given to announce. Anything involving Birdman, which has a heavily Mexican main crew, was out of the question, and Dick Pope had already seen his simple name butchered once this Oscar season. Just who could he be relied upon to not muck up? Nobody could have predicted that Travolta would steer into the skid and publicly admit his mistake, going on stage with Menzel herself to poke fun at his previous snafu.
