4. Eddie Redmayne Reacts Like A Normal Person Would

When everyone calmly walks up to the stage and delivers a measured and coherent speech, it's hard not to raise an eyebrow. Surely the genuine reaction to winning one of the biggest awards in movies would be uncontrollable excitement. Of course, that's not the done thing - not everyone can get away with the boy-ish excitement of Matt Damon and Ben Affleck when they won an Oscar back in 1998 for Good Will Hunting. This year, it looked closest to an everyman reaction would come from Graham Moore looking very surprised after winning Best Adapted Screenplay for The Imitation Game (and to be honest, everyone was pretty shocked at that). That was until Eddie Redmayne, who, despite being the firm favourite to win Best Actor for his surprisingly subtle turn as Stephen Hawking, appeared overpoweringly shocked by the win, stopping several times during his speech to gawp at his new statue. Still not as embarrassing as McConaughey last year.
