Solo: A Star Wars Story - 12 Rumours That Were Utter Bull
8. C-3PO & R2-D2 Show Up

The Rumour: C-3PO (Anthony Daniels) and R2-D2 (Jimmy Vee) have appeared in all prior Star Wars movies, so forced though it might seem, there was a pretty reasonable expectation that they'd show up in Solo somewhere...somehow.
The Truth: Surprisingly, this is the first of the ten live-action Star Wars movies that actually doesn't feature the duo. Anthony Daniels does cameo in the movie, apparently as a Wookiee slave, and a droid bearing an incredible similarity to R2 is briefly visible in the spaceport at the beginning, but the lovable, iconic droids themselves are nowhere to be seen.
It's a relief that the movie's dedication to fan service doesn't defy all logic, even if many still would've preferred to see the droid pair lovingly shoehorned in there somewhere.
