Spider-Man: Far From Home - What The Explosive Ending Really Means

3. Peter's Loved Ones Are In Serious Danger

The reason Peter Parker keeps his mask on has been established in the comics for a while. Because he's just a normal, neighbourhood kid who does exceptional things, Peter's family and friends are far more vulnerable than any other superheroes' personal relations.

In the wake of Peter unmasking himself in the Civil War storyline, a target is placed on his family and Kingpin has a particular enthusiasm for killing Aunt May to get revenge on his arch-nemesis.

In the MCU, Mac Gargan has already set out his intention to find out Peter Parker's identity to make him pay for what he did to him in Homecoming and there are other villains like The Tinkerer, Shocker and Mysterio's other crew members who might seek that same sort of revenge by hurting Peter indirectly.

That means Aunt May, Ned and MJ are going to be in danger and we can probably expect that to play a major part in the story for Far From Home's sequel.
