Star Trek: Every Starfleet Starship Class Ranked Worst To Best

Star Trek Walker Class
CBS

The Walker class was nearing the end of its life as the Klingon-Federation war broke out. It was in fact the Walker class USS Shenzhou, under the command of Captain Philipa Georgiou, that was among the first casualties of the war. On board, Commander Michael Burnham reckoned that the Klingons required a show of force and begged the captain to fire on them - to no avail.

Once the Battle of the Binary Stars began in earnest, the Shenzhou was quickly overcome by enemy fire and, were it not for a last minute save by the USS Europa, it would have collided with an asteroid, forgotten by the rest of the fleet.

While aesthetically the class is a beautiful design, it was not suited to the rigors of deep space exploration.
