Star Wars: 8 Things That The Sequel Trilogy Got RIGHT

5. The Performances

First things first. None of the core cast in either the original trilogy or the prequel trilogy are bad actors. Natalie Portman literally has an Oscar, after all.

Still, no one can deny that some of the line delivery, especially in the prequels, is a little stilted and the performances overall come off as quite wooden sometimes. Again, this is likely down to poor direction rather than anything to do with actual acting ability.

Thankfully, every performance in the sequel trilogy feels believable and both the actors and the respective directors are clearly giving it their all in every department. Han Solo’s death in The Force Awakens is a particular stand-out moment where everyone on screen is absolutely selling the scene, which only makes our favourite smuggler’s tragic demise all the more heart-breaking.

Even when the Rise of Skywalker’s plot started stretching the boundaries of believability, the cast made sure that all of the character’s felt consistent and fun to watch through their acting skill.

Owen Davies hasn't written a bio just yet, but if they had... it would appear here.
