Star Wars: The Last Jedi - 8 Crazy Fan Theories You Need To See

1. Rey Hatched From An Egg

Before you brand this one completely ridiculous, we should mention that it is at least grounded in official Star Wars canon - namely, Marvel's "Poe Dameron" comics series.

This one comes from Reddit, and has user starwarsfanfrom77 theorizing that Rey does not have any parents, in the traditional sense.

This idea revolves around Lor San Tekka (the villager who's killed by Kylo Ren at the start of Episode 7, played by Max von Sydow), who previously lived on a planet called Ovanis. Here, the people guarded a sacred, blue egg, one that they believed would eventually hatch the galaxy's saviour, the person who would one day rid them of the Empire/The First Order.

The theory goes on to mention that the DNA from the egg was extracted from the handle of Luke's lightsaber, meaning Rey was created from the fingerprints of everybody who touched that lightsaber - Anakin, Luke, Obi-Wan and even Han Solo.

The blue egg - a Crèche Egg - is a part of official Star Wars canon, but as for the rest of starwarsfanfrom77's conjecture... it's all wild speculation.

If we're honest, the likelihood of Rey having hatched from a giant mutant egg is pretty low, but this is Star Wars. Plenty of weird things have happened before!

Do any of these fan-theories sound plausible? Which is the silliest? Leave your picks in the comments below!
