8. A Clear Motivation

So, let me explain. In Batman Vs Superman, Bruce’s whole motivation throughout the film was to take out Superman as he deems him a threat to the Earth after witnessing first-hand the devastation caused in Metropolis after the events of Man of Steel.

Then, in Justice League, to stop another alien threat (in the form of Darkseid’s uncle, Steppenwolf, this time) he does a complete one-eighty and (spoilers for Justice League ahead) resurrects Superman with the help of the rest of the League, completely contradicting his entire viewpoint in the previous film.

In a solo (standalone) movie, in which Batman is facing off against one or more clear antagonists this shouldn’t be too hard to achieve, but the key to this is…
