The Best Moment Of Every James Bond Film - Ranked

18. Spectre: Opening Tracking Shot

Daniel Craig Casino Royale
Columbia Pictures/MGM

In this particular case, the film peaked in its first four minutes and never topped that again, although Mr White's (Jesper Christensen) awesome cameo does come reasonably close.

Spectre is an OK but disappointing Bond film that's let down by its butchering of an iconic villain and its messy second half, but it does have one of the finest shots in Bond history.

This opening one-take tracking shot follows Bond through the Day of the Dead festival in Mexico, into a lift, through a hotel room and along some rooftops. When it finally ends, with Bond setting up his sniper rifle to fire at a hitman, you'll feel tempted to clap. It's a brilliant piece of filmmaking and even if the rest of the film had been better, it's still hard to imagine this could ever have been topped.
