The Biggest Mistake Each DCEU Film Has Made

Batman Vs Superman: Dawn of Justice was an undeniable dud. It's well-acted (aside from Jesse Eisenberg's painfully bad turn as Lex Luthor), visually stunning and starts with promise, but quickly devolves into a complete and utter mess.

The reason for this is that it does too much to try and set up a cinematic universe and is hopelessly overstuffed with plot-lines that either feel shoe-horned in or go nowhere. For example, there's a bizarre scene in which Bruce Wayne has a dream about an unidentified man shouting at him through a portal, but this is never explained or even mentioned again.

As for Gal Gadot's Wonder Woman, she is delightful but she does still feel like she should've been saved for a later movie. There's also that bizarre scene in which Wonder Woman looks at a slideshow of clips of The Flash, Aquaman and Cyborg, which is jarring sequel-bait to say the least.

The ending is also an example of setting up too much too soon. Superman's death came far too early in the franchise and the Justice League movie was set up too quickly as well.

Thanks to how over-stuffed the movie is, it's narratively weak and filled with plot-holes, preventing it from ever taking off. Warner Bros. definitely got ahead of themselves here.
