Three Bruce Campbell movies shot down

Bruce Campbell fan. First up and the biggest downer is that Campbell categorically states that a fourth Evil Dead movie is going nowhere and with Sam Raimi's career currently at a crossroads as he gets offered nearly every project under the sun, he can't see the franchise being resurrected anytime soon. The next movie to be shot down is the rumored Freddy vs. Ash vs. Jason flick, which has recently seen it's script which New Line had moved into film production recently greenlit for a comic book adaptation. New Line exec Jeff Katz had pushed for the movie too take place but Campbell's response is...

"it blows! You really think Ash would be allowed to kill Freddy and Jason off? We didn't have any control on the project, New Line did, so there was no reason to do it."
So then there's Bubba Nosferatu and the Curse of the She-Vampires, the sequel to the very cool Bubba Ho-tep which really does sound as if the nail has been put firmly in the coffin, at least for Campbell...
€œ is dead to me,€ Campbell said flatly. €œIt sleeps with the fishes. Don Coscarelli is a very passionate filmmaker. We got to a few points that we couldn€™t reconcile. I want to keep our friendship, so we parted ways. So I€™m not part of that project.€
Wow, that's a huge shame. Honestly, I would have loved to have seen all four projects come to fruition, especially another Evil Dead movie with Raimi as sophisticated a film-maker as he is now but it doesn't look like it's going to happen anytime soon. With Campbell saying he's not part of the Bubba sequel, could that mean they are going to hire someone else to take over his role of Elvis? Surely not? Thanks to Worst Previews for the Evil Dead/Ash news and thanks to Filmstalker through HorrorMovies.ca for the Bubba sequel info.
