15. The Resurrection of the Christ: Part Two
You're probably aware that Mel Gibson has been trying to produce a sequel to his 2004 biblical mega-hit The Passion of the Christ for the better part of a decade, and you might also know that he finally got it done.
Indeed, Gibson is currently deep in post-production on follow-up The Resurrection of the Christ, which is due to release next May, but what you might've missed is that this is merely half of an ambitious two-part project costing a total of $200 million.
Gibson actually shot two Resurrection of the Christ movies back-to-back, with Part Two slated to release a year later in May 2028.
Per their titles, both films will cover Jesus Christ's resurrection, and due to the amount of time that's passed since the original film, Jim Caviezel and Monica Bellucci have been replaced in the roles of Jesus and Mary Magdalene, the parts now being played by Jaakko Ohtonen and Mariela Garriga.
Needless to say, regardless of how they turn out quality-wise, these movies are gonna be an Avengers: Endgame-level event for the bible crowd.
