1. When Will The X-Men Join The MCU?

With Fox's X-Men series now effectively complete - because The New Mutants clearly doesn't count - and the property firmly in the warm embrace of Disney, how long will it be before the X-Men are finally integrated into the Marvel Cinematic Universe?

The Likely Answer

Not any time soon, that's for sure. Kevin Feige said last year there were no active plans to bring the heroes into the franchise yet, and recently said it'd be "a while", as the MCU currently has a five-year plan in the works that doesn't involve the X-Men.

It's probably fair to assume that this five-year plan encapsulates Phase 4 of the MCU - or whatever they end up calling it - and also the beginnings of Phase 5, so an introduction before the middle of Phase 5 seems rather unlikely.

Potentially waiting close to a decade might sound like a long time, but given how thoroughly Kinberg and co. have run these characters into the ground, a period of absence is most certainly welcome.

Plus, incorporating the X-Men into the MCU will prove extremely challenging, and there's no hope with rushing it.
