X-Men: Dark Phoenix WonderCon Footage - 10 Reactions You Need To See

4. The Chemistry Of The X-Men Team Is Well-Handled

There's a certain thrill in seeing superheroes combine their powers to overcome obstacles (remember that bit in The Avengers where Tony bounces a beam off Cap's shield?), and given the vast array of abilities sported by the X-Men, there are a ton of cool ways they could be shown working as a cohesive unit in battle.

Dark Phoenix looks set to explore this idea and have the X-Men working together in ways we've never seen on the big-screen before. In their breakdown of the footage, CinemaBlend wrote that the team works together in a distinct, unique way, with different mutant powers being put together in interesting situations:

"Overall, the footage was interesting if not just because it shows off a lot of new stuff that we haven’t actually seen in past X-Men movies. The titular team operates in a completely different way than other iterations – particularly with the way in which it pairs certain mutant abilities together in order to achieve a certain goal."

This general sentiment was also echoed by SyfyWire, who noted that we have rarely seen this sort of thing in the other X-Men films:

"The X-Men work almost seamlessly as a team now, often working in pairs to complement each other's powers, something we've only seen sporadically in the movies before."

This opens the doors for all sorts of team combos (for example, in one scene from this new footage, Beast teams up with Magneto) that could result in some awesome visual displays of X-Men powers.
