10 Actors Who Reprised Iconic Roles For Video Games

1. Sigourney Weaver - Alien: Isolation

There’s no sci-fi hero more iconic than Ripley, so when the developers of Alien: Isolation planned to make a direct sequel to the original there was only one person who could play her. In the main story itself, the player only hears Ripley’s voice on a recording she made for her daughter following the events of the first movie.

The character herself only appears properly in the DLC missions Crew Expendable and Last Survivor, which are set during the movie. Both missions feature voice over work from most of the original cast, and it’s cool - and terrifying - to wonder around a digital recreation of The Nostromo while being chased by the alien.

Plus getting the chance to play as Ripley – complete with Weaver’s voice – and blast the creature in the face with a flamethrower is an experience no fan of the series would want to turn up; the fact the game is pretty great is also a nice bonus.

Handsome. Charismatic. Intelligent. Noble. Witty. I'm none of these things, but I'm a half decent writer, I guess.
