10 Actors Who Reprised Iconic Roles For Video Games
6. Michael Madsen - Reservoir Dogs
There’s no better way to honour Quentin Tarantino’s debut than making a mediocre third-person shooter based around it - at least that’s what the developers of the game thought. The game fills in the back-story of the movie by showing the robbery and what various characters were up when they were off-screen, which is information nobody really needed to know.
Michael Madsen was the only actor who agreed to return to his star-making as the psychotic Mr Blonde, and while he lends a little bit of credibility and humour to proceedings the game is ultimately not much fun. It’s excessively violent, the gunplay has been done better elsewhere and it feels like a cheap knock-off of the Reservoir Dogs instead of a natural expansion of it.
The graphics are pretty fugly looking too, and without any of the other actors or Tarantino to back him up Madsen probably should have reconsidered taking part.
