10 Actors Who Reprised Iconic Roles For Video Games
5. Adam West - LEGO Batman 3
Michael Keaton and Christian Bale became iconic thanks to playing Batman; Val Kilmer and George Clooney, not so much. Fans will always hold a soft spot for Adam West’s portrayal in the sixties television show, however, and while it might lack the dark broodiness of later versions it more than made up for that with good-natured fun.
The odds of the 87-year-old actor reprising the role in a live-action version look grim, but he was given one last hurrah voicing the character for the Lego Batman 3 game. This level is a charming reaction of the show, complete with campy dialogue, over the top sounds effects and the player even gets to ride the famous Batmobile.
West’s voice has noticeably aged in the decades since the show (which is hardly his fault), but he’s clearly having a great time reliving the character, and that sense of fun is pretty infectious.
