10 Actors Who Reprised Iconic Roles In Video Games
5. The Whole Rebooted Cast - Star Trek (2013)
JJ Abrams was at the helm of the successful Star Trek movie reboot back in 2009, and that's a task that's no mean feat when you consider Trek's hugely passionate fanbase.
Part of what the reboot did so right was its casting. Managing to get big Hollywood names that were also able to recapture the magic of the decades-old performances of the original cast? Outstanding.
So when Star Trek's tie-in game was released, hopes were high that the game might share in just a little of that magic. It didn't.
It was by no stretch of the imagination a good game, but it did feature the entire main cast from the rebooted movie, all reprising their roles.
With Chris Pine and Zachary Quinto as Kirk and Spock, Zoe Saldana as Uhura, John Cho as Sulu, Simon Pegg as Scotty, Karl Urban as Leonard "Bones" McCoy, and Anton Yelchin as Chekov, it seemed as though the Star Trek video game had pulled out all the stops in order to deliver an experience worthy of the franchise.
It didn't, but maybe it deserves a few points for trying.
Actually, on behalf of everyone who paid actual money for the game - no. It really doesn't.
