From the outside looking in, it seems that every successful movie franchise has at least one LEGO video game adaptation to its name.

The reason isn't entirely clear: the games aren't exactly the most innovative or even fun to play, but the simple gameplay, colourful and comedic nature, and cleaner action and humour make for family-friendly fun, so it's hard to object to their existence.

The LEGO Batman series of games has seen a number of entries, each one a fairly solid platformer in its own right, and the third instalment, subtitled Beyond Gotham, gave players the opportunity to control the other members of the Justice League as opposed to just Batman and Robin.

One of the game's more surprising voice actors was Stephen Amell, reprising his award-winning role as Green Arrow. While the gritty, occasionally gory world depicted in Amell's Arrowverse iteration of the character is somewhat at odds with the LEGO franchise's child-friendly nature, it was certainly an unexpected treat for fans to hear him reprise his most famous role among the Justice League.
