10 Addictive Video Games That Totally Destroyed Your Social Life

1. Minecraft

Why live in the boring real world when you can recreate it, brick-for-brick, in the blocky world of Minecraft? Reality is for chumps. Minecraft is the ultimate sandbox game; one that encourages the player to set their creative side free and build anything their mind can imagine - it's as simple or complex as you want it to be at any given time. To be honest, Mojang would have been far better off calling Minecraft Less Is More instead, because that's exactly what it is - a simple foundation that can lead to an almost infinite amount of possibilities. Want to keep things simple and just build yourself a home and eke out a living by gathering rare metals? How about rounding up a bunch of like-minded individuals to raise a giant metropolitan city? Or, do you want to be that one guy who goes above and beyond by building a to-scale replica of the USS Enterprise? It's all possible. Just do yourself a favour though - make sure you have something that tells the time close-at-hand when you're gearing up for a session because, before you know it, it'll be five in the morning and and your alarm will be sounding off in the background telling you get your arse out of bed for work.
