The Super Smash Bros series is known for frantic fighting action, and a whole heap of engaging content, from customisable matches, to charming collectibles. It's a celebration of all things Nintendo, and taking inspiration from a number of titles with regards to its alternate costumes allows for some truly wonderful references to years past.

Link's journey in both Twilight Princess, and Ocarina of Time, bear more than a few similarities, with one being the inclusion of Link's evil reflection. His debut in the series was in the NES title Zelda II: The Adventure of Link, providing a tough barrier for our hero to overcome.

His presence in future games is far more visually refined, and Super Smash Bros takes advantage of the character's cool looks to maximum effect.

The Dark Link costume in Smash is sure to instil fear in your opponents, transforming a plucky, unlikely hero into an eerie, ominous, and ghostly presence. All of a sudden, Link goes from likeable, to downright frightening, all while adhering to the rich lore that The Legend of Zelda series has presented since the late 1980's.
