10 Amazing Video Game Missions That Got Cut
1. Dr. Lane Higgins Mission - Red Dead Redemption 2
Red Dead Redemption 2 features a myriad of unique and highly entertaining missions. From breaking into armored trains to riding on hot air balloons and even helping a mad scientist build a robot, you might be asking, What more could you possibly ask for?
How about an Indiana Jones-style adventure on the tropical island of Guarma?
Yes, Red Dead's data folders feature an unused model and the voicelines of a dapper archeologist named Dr. Lane Higgins. The voicelines reveal that the man would've been a stranger encountered on Guarma and that Arthur would help him defend an ancient ritual site from the Cuban Military.
Arthur would have to protect a collection of post-Columbian artifacts from the soldiers, all the while Dr. Higgins would perform stunts worthy of Indiana Jones himself. At one point, he was even supposed to say that the artifacts "belong in a museum!"
The side missions on Guarma were likely cut out of the game because they didn't fit the tone of the main storyline in Chapter 5. However, it certainly would've been amazing to do a little tomb raiding as Arthur.
Well, so long as the artifacts on Guarma didn't have any face-melting properties.
