10 Amazing Video Game Villains Hiding In Terrible Games
4. The Four Devas - God Hand
Boy, God Hand is one polarising game.
Capcom's PS2 Beat 'em Up was released in 2006 and almost immediately garnered praise (and disapproval) for its unique approach to the genre.
The story follows playable hero Gene, a 23-year-old macho man blessed with the God Hands, arms that are infused with the power to become either a God or a Demon. Despite the rather ominous premise, God Hand is not a game that ever really takes itself too seriously, with slapstick comedy, gags your dad would marvel at and a whole array of outlandish characters.
All this humour, coupled with a few suspect-looking graphics, proved to be too much for some, with IGN giving the game a scathing 3/10 review.
Arguably the finest of these outlandish individuals are The Four Devas, the game's chief antagonists. This demonic cult are a pretty fun time, all in all, save for being hellbent on resurrecting the Demon Angra to enslave the entire world.
These four baddies consist of Azel, Elvis, Shannon and their leader Belze. All four of these baddies have their own personalities, boss battles and looks, though we have to single out the big-bellied cigar-muncher Elvis and circus ringleader Shannon for really standing out.
