10 Announced Video Games We Haven't Heard From In AGES
4. Wild
Michel Ancel makes his second appearance of this list despite apprently no longer even being involved in the games industry- impressive. Announced at Gamescom 2014, Wild Sheep Studio's Wild is an open-world survival adventure game set during the prehistoric neolithic period.
The game is set to take place in a procedurally generated world, a la No Man's Sky, and will feature some extremely intriguing mechanics such as the ability to use shamanic mind control on animals throughout the world. This intrigue has only been added to with the painful stretch of silence that has preceded its announcement.
A gameplay trailer was released in 2015 and Ancel himself shared some screenshots in 2017, but other than that the game has pretty much disappeared off the face of the planet. Upon his apparent retirement back in September, Ancel announced that both Beyond Good & Evil 2 and Wild were in 'capable hands' suggesting both games were certainly still very much in production but there has been little other to suggest that this is the case- though the hope certainly remains we may hear from Wild again soon.
