10 Announced Video Games We Haven't Heard From In AGES

3. Skull & Bones

Ubisoft

Back at E3 2017 Ubisoft announced Skull & Bones, an exciting looking action-adventure game based around pirates.

Looking to feed off the overwhelming success of Assassin's Creed: Black Flags fantastic sea battles, Ubisoft were looking to release a game that featured this as a main mechanic. And to date, they are still looking to release a game that features this as a main mechanic as Skull & Bones has suffered several delays before going quiet lately.

Since the original announcement, the Pirate video game market has become a little more saturated with the release of the ever-improving Sea of Thieves and this seems to have thrown Ubisoft through something of a loop. In September of this year an announcement suggested that the game was suffering further delays due to a change of direction in its development- and there's been little word from Ubisoft since.

Black Flag is still widely considered AC's finest entry and a lot of that was due to the fantastic ship to ship scraps on the sea. A game looking to play off this has the potential to be brilliant but, currently, it remains deeply buried treasure somewhere in Ubisoft HQ.
