10 Annoying Call Of Duty Players We All Hate

7. The Quick-Scoper

Quick-scoping is one of the most controversial aspects of the Call of Duty games, a gameplay feature that persists throughout many FPS games, and allows players to score easy kills with a Sniper Rifle without needing to even properly aim at enemies. The trick is to have your rifle pointed near an enemy as they're about to enter your crosshairs (which won't be on the screen at this point), then activate the scope, and this will cause the game's auto-aim to kick-in, allowing you to simply press the fire button and score an easy kill most of the time. There is some skill to quick-scoping, but the problem is that it's an abuse of one of the game's aim features: this isn't at all what was intended by the developers, to the extent that the sniper mechanics have been tweaked in Ghosts in an effort to combat quick-scoping. However, it's something of a half-baked job as you need only Google "Cod Ghosts quick scope" to find countless YouTube tutorials on how to do it.
