Demon's Souls and its spiritual successors the Dark Souls games are known for having some of the greatest boss fights of all time. More often than not, defeating a Souls boss can be a truly exhilerating moment, a triumph over seemingly impossible odds. Naturally, players were left puzzled when the final boss of Demon's Souls turned out to be nothing more than a squirming mass of black goo. The 'Old King Allant' boss may have proven to be a tricky encounter, but he is shown to be a fake after being defeated. By the time players find the real King Allant, he puts up almost no fight at all. Little more than a human-shaped blob, Demon's Souls' final foe barely makes an effort in trying to kill his attacker.
