10 Awesome Features In Truly Terrible Video Games

9. Ms. Marvel's Traversal & Combat Moveset - The Avengers

The Avengers was one of the most awaited games of 2020; it had everything going for it - an interactive multiplayer experience set against the backdrop of the earth's mightiest heroes. What we have missed out on was a fun superhero experience by etching on an irritatingly repetitive loot-grind system. Even the heroes felt rather flat and generic, though they were somewhat enjoyable. Ms. Marvel is the exception, in a great way.

Via a good single-player campaign, we are introduced to Ms. Marvel, played by Sandra Saad. She's very charming, affectionate, and slows down the plot to reveal a softer, more human side to the story that's extremely engaging; she's a character you would never expect to be in the central role.

It's not just her emotional centrepiece that sticks out.

Her fighting and traversal mechanics are inspiring. We haven't really had too many superhero games where the main power is elasticity.

You can make gigantic fists to smash your enemies, or stretch out her arms and use them to swing around the environment; it's fresh and exciting. This is when Marvel's Avengers is at its finest; without it, at best, the game would be a bad loot-grinder.

Also, with the release of Kate Bishop to the game, it seems like they're possibly fixing this messy game.
