Night in the Woods is a 2017 adventure game where you play as a college dropout named Mae who returns to her hometown right as it's plagued with random disappearances and occult sightings. The game mostly revolves around your day-to-day life in Possum Springs and solving the town's mysteries, but it also features some mini-games. One of which is hidden on your character's computer, looking deceptively inconspicuous.

Like any other young adult with too much time to spare, Mae likes to fill up her empty hours with a certain video game called Demontower. It's an isometric dungeon crawler that you can access at any time by opening Mae's computer.

Most people who play Night in the Woods tend to click on it once, acknowledge that it exists, and then move on to the main part of the game. However, Demontower is actually a hidden gem that might as well have been a separate title.

The mini-game features ten detailed levels, a wide variety of enemies, custom boss fights, and even multiple endings (including a secret true ending)! The whole experience is like booting up a completely different game inside your video game.
