And speaking of serious cases of gameception, the secret port of TimeSplitters 2 hidden inside Homefront: The Revolution is probably the most famous example of this.

Homefront contained a full, one-of-a-kind port of the 2002 sequel to TimeSplitters, and for the longest time, people had no idea it existed. Most players were aware of the demo version inside an arcade machine in one of the levels, but it took years for them to find a special code that allowed them to play the full version. And even that was done with the help of Homefront's developers.

Anyway, the port is an amazing feature and pretty much the only reason why someone would want to boot up Homefront: The Revolution these days. What's great about it is that the port doesn't just let you play the entirety of TimeSplitters 2, it also upgrades a lot of its controls and physics to a more modern standard.

Sure, nowadays you could just buy TimeSplitters 2 on the Microsoft Store, but if you already own Homefront, you can get the same exact experience by tapping into its secret arcade machine.
