10 Awesome Video Game Abilities With ONE Fatal Flaw
6. Gloomsword - The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom
Throughout Tears of the Kingdom, Link will face off against Ganondorf servants, the Phantom Ganons. Although these spectre are an absolute pain, vanquishing them will reward Link with the most powerful natural weapon in the game, the Gloom Sword.
With this bad boy, the Hylian hero can make short work of any Lynel, Molduga, or Gleeock. It's so powerful, it should incentivise players to hunt down as many Phantom Ganons as possible, so they can rack up an army of Gloom Swords. And once it's fused with other items, the already OP weapon should become unstoppable.
Too bad there's a catch. Due to the evil energy coursing through the dark blade, Link's maximum hearts will decrease each time he strikes an enemy with it. For this reason, consuming food or regular health potions do squat. Unless Link is armed with Gloom-cancelling potions, using the Gloom Sword is a recipe for disaster.
Even if Link has the right equipment to cancel the blade's ill effects, it's unwise to jump into every brawl unless they have plenty of health to spare.
