10 Awesome Video Game Villains Who Deserve Their Own Title

7. Albert Wesker - Resident Evil

Just who really is Albert Wesker? We know he's the overarching, seemingly invincible villain of the entire Resident Evil series, but the main man himself - who looks like Duke Nukem without the steroids - has always been a bit of an enigma. Wesker was taken in by the Umbrella Corporation at a young age thanks to his exceptional natural intelligence. During his time working for Umbrella, Wesker was also used as a hitman, knocking off people who were holding onto precious information so that research on the zombifying t-virus could carry on in peace. The first part - or even prologue - of Resident Evil: Code Wesker (or whatever) could see him carrying out his hitman work for Umbrella, before things get really exciting later on. As anyone who played Resident Evil will be aware, Wesker doses himself up with a virus that gives him the kind of reflexes that make Neo look a bit on the geriatric side. This'd be a fantastic opportunity for a Metal Gear Rising-style game, with Wesker having to decimate his way through hordes of zombies in Raccoon City, ships, infested villages, or other typical Resi locations as he seeks to spread the virus even further. Alternatively, Capcom could make a Resident Evil game similar to those 'back in the day', with Wesker having to navigate his way carefully through survival horror environments to carry out his nefarious plans. But that would involve making the the Resident Evil series credible again, which seems kind of unthinkable at this point.
