10 Awesome Video Games That Came From Terrible Movies
9. Enter The Matrix
Forget what anyone tells you when looking back on this now, ETM was a fantastic game. For any fan of The Matrix - and those who actively wanted to be mystified and blown away by all the self-indulgent philosophical babble - there's not been a single better realisation of letting you enact the mind-blowing spectacles from the films. Want to cartwheel off the side of a wall in slow-motion as enemy bullet-trails fill the screen and you feel the chug of an assault rifle plug round after round into the opposition? How about landing out of that cartwheel and delivering some truly thunderous thwacks and smacks - with sound effects straight from the film - that made you feel just like the alternate-reality badass we'd seen Neo become over the trilogy? In a world where nobody cared one jot about framerate or certain frames of animation connecting everything together seamlessly, Enter was the perfect pick-me-up to sequels that sadly missed the mark overall.
