10 Awesome Video Games You Had No Idea Were Getting Movies

4. Rainbow Six

Technically this is a two-parter: Thanks to the success of the Rainbow Six series the Tom Clancy novels Without Remorse and Rainbow Six are on the docket to get films. Originally starring Ryan Reynolds as the main character it has shifted to star Michael B. Jordan in the role of Navy Seal John Clark, who was the director of the Rainbow group.

Clark has already been played by Willem Dafoe and Liev Schreiber in various films set in the 'Ryanverse' of films and is considered to be the 'bad cop' to Jack Ryan's 'good cop' character. Technically Rainbow Six won't come out until after Jordan's premier as Clark in Without Remorse, but a two-film deal has been struck.

While Without Remorse is essentially John Clark's origin story, the second one is likely to have more of a base in the games and will most likely feature other fan favorites such as Domingo "Ding" Chavez, Clark's son-in-law. Maybe we'll get a reprise of Angela Basset as Aurelia Arnot?

Without Remorse likely won't come out until late 2020 or early 2021; we can expect Rainbow Six to come out about a year after that is the best guess. Assuming, of course, Without Remorse does well enough to warrant what would technically be a sequel.
