10 Awesomely Unconventional Ways People Beat Video Games

6. Beating 2-Player Ikaruga Solo

Ikaruga Ikaruga is a notoriously difficult 2D scrolling shooter that's pretty damn challenging even when a) you've got a buddy playing with you and b) you've got just one controller to handle. This player thoroughly takes the p*ss out of people who insist on having stupid things like "friends", and decides that if you want something done right, you may as well just do it yourself. Yes, this crazy fellow - and I hate to stereotype, but he's Asian - plays both controllers simultaneously, beasting through the whole game like an absolute pro. I can't in any way make sense of the level of concentration one would need to pull this sort of thing off, but the absurd level of hand-eye co-ordination that the guy demonstrates makes my own gaming prowess seem absolutely pathetic by comparison.
