10 Backwards Compatible Xbox 360 Games Microsoft Are Ignoring
6. Mafia 2
Mafia 3 wasn't exactly the most well-received title of 2016. Meanwhile, its predecessor has been heavily requested to become backwards compatible.
When it originally released in 2010, Mafia 2 garnered a lot of critical praise for telling a story that was relatable, gripping and emotional. Although the gameplay was slightly criticised for being too simple, the story carried it through and made sure that the series was kept on the map for quite some time.
Because of how focused the Mafia series is on single-player storytelling, Mafia 2 is the perfect title for backwards compatibility. Considering the recent release of Mafia 3, it was surprising that 2K didn't consider releasing the two titles together with some sort of pre-order bonus. Even months after the release of Mafia 3, Mafia 2 still hasn't received any indication that it'll become backwards compatible.
Whether this be due to an upcoming remaster or just due to Mafia 3's poor reception, Mafia 2 unfortunately doesn't look like it'll become backwards compatible any time soon.
