5. Saints Row 2

Widely considered as the best Saints Row game in the franchise, Saints Row 2 is the perfect blend of gangster and comedy. With Saints Row 4 currently backwards compatible, why isn't Saints Row 2?

This is especially confusing considering the fact that Saints Row 4 got a remaster/re-release for the current generation. Even Saints Row the Third hasn't received backwards compatibility, despite being a much older game. This could possibly be because Saints Row 4 was the best selling title in the series so far, but also could be because Saints Row 2 and Saints Row the Third are simply being held back for later.

It's also a confusing omission considering how well-regarded Saints Row 2 is by fans. Although Saints Row the Third and Saints Row 4 were more successful in terms of sales, Saints Row 2 is really where most fans tend to return, and the game that most people who love the series tend to refer to.

Saints Row 2 not becoming backwards compatible is unfair because it's the last true Saints Row feeling title. Whereas later games focused more on fun and wackiness, Saints Row 2 was truly gangster. It needs to stop being neglected for the newer titles.
