10 Beloved PS1 Exclusives That NEED To Come Back
4. G-Police
Vehicle-themed games were in vogue during the PlayStation's early days. Games like Auto Destruct and Driver led the way, with one third of the Die Hard Trilogy getting in on it too.
But one that will always stick is out G-Police.
Set on one of Jupiter's moons near the end of the 21st century, the story revolved around you, a member of the titular police squad and the events surrounding the mysterious death of your sister.
Yet it wasn't the story alone that sold it, it was the rotor-less space helicopter you occupied that made them a blast to play. Fully 3D in its presentation, missions ranged from straight forward destruction to escorts and timed missions. It was massively ahead of its time, yet sadly the sequel couldn't deliver the same results.
Could you imagine this game in VR though? Piloting your way through neo-futuristic landscapes before homing in on your targets, or just taking in the sights.
If not for VR, then at least a return to the genre. We have the means to make gorgeous cityscapes, so why not let us enjoy them in a space helicopter?
