10 Best Directed Video Game Cutscenes Ever

8. The Death Of A Cowboy - Red Dead Redemption 2

In a game filled with cowboys, betrayals, and native American stereotypes, who would have thought that Tuberculosis would have been the big bad of the whole game.

When Arthur Morgan finally succumbs to the unforeseen disease he does so at the top of a mountain, in a fist fight with another guy. When the fight is over is where the scene shines as the camera follows Arthur, desperately crawling over to a spot on the rock where he can watch the sunrise one last time.

The music swells and the camera lingers on Arthur's body as the orange glow of the sun rises in the background, and he draws his final breath.

The scene is dramatic, sad, and overall simply filled with emotion as the camera focuses on the dear that has been following Arthur throughout his journey. Then the audience watches as it runs off into the distance, symbolising that he is finally free.
