10 Best Dungeons In The Legend Of Zelda Franchise

Like many of the best Zelda levels, this one is tinged with sadness. Twilight Princess’ fifth dungeon is a ramshackle mansion in a whitewashed gorge, where a pair of yetis while away their days in the rubble. When Link finds Yeto and Yeta, they’re in dire straights - Yeta is ill, and Yeto unable to do much of any use.

It transpires that Yeta possesses a piece of the mirror of twilight, causing her illness, and so naturally Dr Link helps out by bashing her new monstrous form with a ball and chain until she coughs it up.

The ball and chain is a big part of this dungeon’s success. Few weapons can match its destructive power, or the sheer fun of wielding it. As with most of Twilight Princess’ dungeons it’s entirely distinctive (it’s also that rare thing: a Zelda ice level that works).

You also get to smash up the place using cannons dotted around the mansion. In terms of sheer destructive power, there are few dungeons that can beat it.
