10 Best End Credits Songs In Video Games

3. Still Alive (Portal)

"Still Alive", AKA "The song most people knew would be on this list".

And with good reason! Jonathan Coulton's three minute ode to science, cake and passive-aggression was arguably the comedic highlight in a game stuffed full of them.

Sung in disarmingly gentle fashion by GLaDOS, Portal's homicidal AI antagonist, "Still Alive" is a flawless epilogue to Portal's story. As well as providing one last example of the game's wicked sense of humour, the song also adds one final story beat by ensuring that GLaDOS is indeed still alive, and ready for the sequel.

That sequel would go on to give us another superb Jonathan Coulton song ("Want You Gone"), and while we've given the nod to "Still Alive" you really should listen to them both. And then hope Valve release a third Portal game so Jonathan can get his hat trick.

Favourite lyric - This was a triumph. I'm making a note here, huge success. The lyrics that launched a thousand memes.
