10 Best End Credits Songs In Video Games

2. Weight Of The World (Nier: Automata)

A song so nice they played it...quadrice? Is that a word? (It very obviously isn't - WhatCulture Editor). Point being, Weight of the World gets remixed four times in Nier: Automata, with each remix playing across a different ending.

While this sounds like it would get tedious the second or third time round, never mind the fourth, it's a testament to Weight of the World's composers that it only gets more moving with each repetition.

Especially in the game's final credits sequence. Five years on, and it still feels like a crime to spoil this moment. So we'll just say that the moment the vocals kick in still gives us chills, and is arguably the emotional highpoint of the previous console generation.

Favourite lyric - Cause we're going to shout it loud / Even if our words seem meaningless. A poignant reminder that you need to make yourself heard, even when you're not sure anyone is listening. Especially powerful in the game's final ending. (In case it wasn't already clear - this game's ending is incredible).
