10 Best Final Bosses In Resident Evil History

7. Jack Norman - Resident Evil Revelations

It's a bit of a shame that Capcom created one of Resident Evil's best fights for one of the series' worst villains.

First, the bad: Jack Norman is as dull as his name. He is so dull, in fact, that we forgot he existed and instead remembered this fight as being against a completely different character. Fortunately for the sake of Mr. Norman reputation, the fight against him is one of the best in Resi history.

The first thing you notice is the boss' design, an aquatic, Lovecraftian variation on the series' standard Tyrant template (fitting for a game set mostly on the ocean). The next thing you notice, very quickly, is that Norman is relentless.

He can teleport and create illusions for you to waste ammo on, and he uses these tricks constantly. This makes for a brilliantly tense encounter, as any wasted movement on your part is immediately punished.

The fight may only be five minutes long but the soundtrack, visuals and mechanics of the fight all combine to make it feel like an epic. Which, again, makes it more of a shame that this battle is wasted on a one-dimensional bad guy in a spin-off that has no bearing on the plot of the main games.
