10 Best Games Announced At E3 2019
6. Death Loop
Bethesda’s conference was severely underwhelming. No Elder Scrolls was to be expected, but the most optimistic of fans were hoping for something from Starfield. That didn’t materialise either, and it left Bethesda a little threadbare.
New Fallout content would have been enough to save it at one time; not anymore though. The company burned several bridges with Fallout 76’s disastrous launch and barren gameplay, and neither of the two new additions have gone down well.
Adding NPCs at this stage is closing the barn not only after the horse has bolted, but has lived a long and happy life before dying of old age surrounded by its loved ones.
Speaking of dead horses, Bethesda are adding a Battle Royale mode to 76, which nobody has ever asked for.
Amidst all this negativity, Death Loop has gone a little unnoticed. However, this new IP from Arkane, the makers of Dishonored and Prey, could go on to great things.
In true Arkane style, you can approach situations from a variety of angles, and the ‘mind bending’ game seems to be Edge Of Tomorrow, BioShock and Groundhog Day all blended into one.
