8. Hotline Miami
Possibly the weirdest game of the year, Hotline Miami rekindles the flames of stereotypical 1980's America in its own, special, 2D way. As it revolves around the senseless murders of mobsters because of senseless messages being left on the protagonist's doorway, you would expect the soundtrack to be likewise. It would also have to follow the basic pattern associated with 2D games though, with the track not having a chorus or primary melody - simply never ending. It manages to do these things, with an added burst of Floridian beach tunes also, cementing its place at number 8. Hotline Miami is a pretty deep game, psychotic to the point where the gamer doesn't know if he's dead or alive.
