10 Best Local Multiplayer Video Games Of The Decade

9. Rayman Legends

Borderlands 2
Ubisoft

Rayman Legends released to universal acclaim back in 2013, and it has since been made available on pretty much every single home console since. One of the best platform games released in recent years, Rayman is also one of the best local multiplayer experiences.

Featuring shared screen coop gameplay, Rayman lets up to 4 players choose their own characters and work together to traverse the perilous platforming and recover all the lost teensies and lums.

The platforming is so tight, and the levels are all so varied that playing through even solo is a delight. However, being able to share the experience with friends and family makes it even better.

There’s nothing quite like working together to reach secret areas, splitting up to collect every single lum, slapping your friend in the face and then running off at top speed, bounding through the fantastic musical levels together and chasing treasure chests through over 120 levels, including 40 remastered levels from the original Rayman Origins. Collectively it's the best of both games, and more content than you can shake a teensie at.
