10 Best Local Multiplayer Video Games Of The Decade
7. Portal 2
Unlike most other games on this list, 2011’s Portal 2 has both a full 10-hour single player campaign and a secondary 5-hour multiplayer campaign. You and a friend can take on the role of Atlus and P-Body, the robotic replacements that stand in for Chel after the conclusion of Portal 2’s story.
The two of you will work together to solve all of Portal 2’s many puzzles, using physics to propel yourself across Aperture Science Laboratories in extremely tight, simple mechanics. Each player has their own portal gun device, and they must communicate with each other very clearly if they ever hope to complete all the tests.
It may not have a lot of replayability, once you know all the solutions to the puzzles, but it sure is a lot of fun to play through, figuring them out together with a friend in the space of a couple evenings.
