Every time a new Forza comes out, we ask 'how can they improve upon this?'. Whether it's Motorsport or Horizon, both Turn 10 Studios and Playground Games outdo itself each alternating year. The best game to date, unsurprisingly, is the most recent: Forza Horizon 4.

Following Horizon 3, which was set in sunny Australia, Playground Games took the series to its own neck of the woods, and set Horizon 4 in Britain. The settings of England and Scotland made for a fun one; driving country roads, ploughing through fields, finding old cars in barns, and competing across city streets.

Horizon 4 also marked the first time the series had dynamic weather and changing seasons, and it greatly improved the overall flow of the game. Speeding through the sunny villages of England in summer, only for it to switch to gorgeous autumn, then snowy winter, kept you coming back to play more.

Of course the cars are the star of the show and they look phenomenal, but it's the world that makes the game so special, and the best Forza title to date. There is no Forza game releasing in 2019, with focus seemingly directed at next-gen, so Horizon 4 will go down as this generations best racing title.
