Since Uncharted: Drake's Fortune released on PS3 in 2007, Naughty Dog has been developing the best looking games around. Uncharted 2 took it even further, as did Uncharted 3, and we all know just how incredible The Last of Us looked.

So it comes as no surprise, then, that 2016's Uncharted IV remains one of the most impressive graphical games of this generation. The final adventure of Nathan Drake and his cohorts took him from his sun-soaked attic to the Scottish Highlands in fall, from a colourful Italian villa to an overgrown pirate city in the jungle. Every area in the game was stunning and memorable, putting all its globe-trotting peers to shame.

And those are just the lush environments, the character models are arguably still the best around, from Drake to his wife Elena. Throw in driving a jeep through muddy jungles and falling off of cliffs, or grapple hooking from the sides of mountains and you have the pinnacle of the Uncharted series.

Uncharted IV: A Thief's End is virtually peerless as of 2019. There are precious few games that even come close to its level of polish and detail, and that makes us all the more excited for The Last of Us: Part II.
